It's a working day in my current version of Hell. Which means kissing a whole lot of my favourite things goodbye.<br /><br />No switching off the alarm on a Friday night. No asking the maid to take the day off, since it's a Saturday, and you want to sleep in. No Friday night. No lazy Saturday beer lunches, no pondering the fate of the world.<br /><br />No time to window-shop. Or meet friends you haven't seen in months. Or throw out clothes you hate. Or colour your hair at home. Or update your book. Or network.<br /><br />No reading the newspaper over lunch. No getting overhauled at the salon on the first Saturday of the month.<br /><br />No bill-paying, library-visiting, grocery-shopping, or afternoon-movie-watching. No cooking (which might actually be a good thing). No watching The Bold and the Beautiful reruns.<br /><br />No weekend (since one half has been rudely amputated, without anesthesia).
